How Can You Get Involved?

North East Lincolnshire Council has a dedicated ‘Have Your Say’ page where local people can give feedback on projects, services, and important funding decisions. However, many residents simply aren’t aware that this exists!

This section of the council’s website is where you’ll find consultations on a range of topics, from regeneration plans to public services. Your input matters, and this is your chance to influence how money is spent and what improvements are prioritised.

What Happens to Your Feedback? 

Some people feel that even when they are asked, they don’t always get what they wanted. The reality is that everyone has different views and priorities, and all feedback is collected, reviewed, and shared with council officers. 

These ideas are then considered by the Council Cabinet, where funding, feasibility, and legal restrictions are assessed. Some ideas simply can’t be done due to financial or practical limitations. 

🔍 Scrutiny & Decision-Making – Every decision made by the council goes through a scrutiny process, ensuring transparency and accountability. 

While not every idea can be implemented, the feedback helps shape priorities and future planning.
